I recently took my truck to a local dealership for service and was presented with a list of items that needed to be addressed. My driver window wasn't working, I needed rear brakes, and I had an axle seal that was leaking. I was told the driver window issue was due to a bad switch. After seeing the ridiculous price I decided I would do the work myself. I ordered the window switch and to my surprise, the issue still existed. Due to an extremely busy schedule, I realized I needed to find a reliable shop to do the other work on my truck. After stumbling across 5th Gear, reading the reviews, and the proximity to my house, I decided to reach out to them via email. I was immediately contacted and Tris was extremely helpful. He gave me a price which was HALF the dealership's and explained the process. I dropped my truck off and was greeted by Tris who introduced himself and was very informative before I left. A few hours later I received a call about my truck. They confirmed I needed rear brakes........in 15k miles! They could have easily confirmed what the dealership said and replaced my brakes and I wouldn't have been the wiser. Tris also found the issue with my axle seal to be related to a differential issue and explained they would just have to replace it again after a month until the real issue was addressed. Now the window. 5th Gear did a PROPER analysis of the switch and found the issue to be somewhere else. They explained the process and gave me a price which I was extremely satisfied with and got it working in no time. I picked up my truck, talked with Tris about my options, and left feeling like I had found a great shop to use in the future. I highly recommend these guys. Great prices, great work and great customer service. Will use for all my automotive needs in the future.

Kind and friendly staff, but most importantly they are trustworthy and honest! At a different location I was quoted $1k for "urgent repairs", but 5th Gear explained a more appropriate timeline and quoted closer to $500. As a relatively young female who doesn't know much about cars, it is really important for me to find a place I trust.

Super friendly and helpful. My car is ten years old and needs a lot of help. I was expecting to spend so much more while there, very reasonable. Comfortable waiting room and even offered us a ride. Such great service. Highly recommend!!

Fixed me right up. Kind of expensive but this is mostly do to me not expecting as much work was needed to my car than was actually needed. They answered all my questions. Will absolutely return and recommend.

Thanks J.R.!

Took my girlfriends 2011 Mazda in today for an oil change and brake inspection, (she had been taking it to the local Mazda dealership, but had several pretty poor customer service experiences). The service advisor was very friendly and engaging, when I initially arrived as well as when I returned to pick it up. I appreciated that he took the time to answer the questions I had and clearly advise me about what to expect to pay for future service. I am very pleased, and since I just moved to the area and had been looking for a good independent shop. After today I believe I have found one! I did try another place in Broomfield a few months ago and wasn't nearly as impressed. So a few weeks I thought to ask the folks at the local Napa auto parts store who they would recommend, and they wrote down a few names including 5th Gear.

I'm pretty leery of trying new shops. I have college auto mechanic training and have worked on most vehicles I have owned for the last 30 years - including my bikes. So, I tend to be pretty careful. This trip in was for an alignment after I installed new aftermarket springs and KYB AGX struts on my Soobie. Scheduling was easy, the guy making the appt was cool. Price was cheaper than my normal place for a 4 wheel alignment by $20. Picked it up without a hassle, but good solid info on what changes were made and an issue with the stock top hats I left on it. No attempt to sell me anything either. All in all, I feel comfortable sending my other vehicles in for work. I didn't get the "looking to make a buck" feel here.

I was having some transmission issues and was in need of a transmission flush. Along with the flush I also got an oil change. Their prices are competitive and their service is solid. It's really hard to find a trusted mechanic, especially when your not from the area. No one tried to push unnecessary sales pitches at me, in fact they saved me money with their suggestions. The wait is worth the service. It's been two months now and my car is running like butter. Thanks for the quality work!
