Quite simply the best, most honest shop I have ever dealt with. Every interaction has been awesome! They are pleasant, do good work, charge fair prices, and give good advice on what needs to be fixed, and what can wait. Everything you could wish for in a shop.

Nice place. These guys are personable. The huge dog they had in the office was docile and loved by my daughter. They were very busy so I guess they are doing something right. My diesel emissions was done quickly. I will use them again. I would recommend them.

I was recommended to 5th Gear after purchasing my daughter a used Jeep Wrangler that developed a coolant leak shortly after we got it home by my father-in-law. He has been taking his 95 Chevy Lumina there for years, and recommended them for their honesty and reasonable prices. I have to say that his advice to me was spot-on. I have had work done on 3 vehicles at 5th Gear - and the work was always done for a reasonable amount, in the time promised, and I have never had to return due to a repair failure. They are prompt, professional, and will give you a ride home if needed when dropping off your vehicle!

I had been told by Sill-Terhar (the dealership) that my Mazda had a cracked radiator frame and that I NEEDED to pay $600 for the repair or my radiator would fall out while I was driving, I'd die for sure in a flaming wreck, etc. etc. It was a lot of money, so I took it to 5th Gear for a second opinion. After checking it out for 5 minutes, he told me the crack was cosmetic, neither I nor my car were in any danger at all, and he wouldn't feel right about taking any of my money to fix it because it was not a big deal in any way. Thanks for your honesty, 5th Gear. I found other, better ways to spend that $600. :-)

After reading the reviews of 5th Gear on Yelp, I knew it was a service facility that was honest and reliable. The reviews were right. I called to get an estimate for replacing the front struts on my 2004 SUV. Dennis not only gave me an estimate, but quoted what the actual price would be. I am very happy with the work they performed and the price was much less than the dealer price. As a recent Colorado transplant, I am so pleased that I have found a repair facility that I can trust. I will definitely be taking my cars to 5th Gear in the future.

I found 5th Gear on Yelp looking for a place for an oil change. I'm fairly new to the area and the last place I got my oil changed I ended up forking over $80 for unnecessary things. I was worried I would run into guys doing the same thing. Fortunately 5th Gear was great! They were polite, didnt try to get me to pay for things I didn't need, and he used a coupon I didn't know they had online for the oil change. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back!

They did the maintenance on my Prius. Not only they were very nice and competent, they took care of my car very well and very fast. I will go back there if I have any other maintenance or mechanical repair without any hesitation. Highly recommended!!! Update: I received a recall for my Prius from Toyota to change some parts related to the direction. I brought my car there since replacing this part was free. After replacing it, I received a phone call from the Toyota dealer telling me that they had found a few things to replace urgently on my car (for at least $600). After telling them to not do anything besides the free replacement, I brought my car to 5th Gear Automotive Service and ask them to give me a quote on all the repairs the Toyota dealer highly recommended. They checked my car and after a few hours explained to me very nicely that what Toyota wanted to change wasn't that urgent. I have driven my car for a few months since their last check-up and didn't have any issues with it. They made me save a lot of money. It is such a relief to find a honest and competent mechanic who is not trying to find more repairs than necessary. At last a mechanic that I can trust! I could not recommend them more.

5th Gear Automotive, how to I love thee? Let me count the ways! One star for your prompt, courteous service. Dennis and the staff are *ALWAYS* friendly, always responsive, and never balk at working on my beat up, older than dirt Jeep Cherokee. Two stars for your text alerts for appointment confirmations. I had to reschedule an appointment earlier this week, called before they opened, and no problem! Got a friendly voicemail from the staff and a text alert moments later confirming a new date and time. I love this! Three stars for your fair pricing. I had to have the radiator replaced last fall. Not only did Dennis do the legwork to price parts, labor, and determine what absolutely had to be done versus what we could wait and do later, but the final price was still hundreds below what Goodyear or other mechanics would charge. Today, I brought the Jeep in for a problem with the power windows. Dennis found that the part we needed was obsolete, but he found a vendor right away for a *much* lower price than the retail price he was quoted. The dealer isn't going to do that. Most shops in central Denver won't, either. Four stars for being fair in general. I had a hose spring a leak not long ago. I called 5th Gear first thing and explained the situation. Most mechanics would say bring it in, see it as easy money and leave it at that. Dennis listened to the problem, explained what it was and also explained it would be way cheaper for me to replace it on my own. I don't see this as a negative; I see this as being honest! Five stars for the little things I love about this shop. I love the Great Dane who greets every customer. I love that they don't balk about driving me to my office when I drop off for service. I love that no job is out of reach; today, I'm having work done on the power windows, and the price quoted is beyond fair and reasonable for the work they'll need to do. I love the convenient hours and location. This is the best shop in the north suburbs if you have an older, quirkier car like mine.

I've had a great experience with 5th Gear. They've done excellent work and when I have had problems, they have resolved them very well. These guys have treated me really well and taken care of things that they could easily have avoided. I'm very happy and won't take my vehicles anywhere else. They're not the cheapest mechanic you could find, but they do fantastic work. I guess you get what you pay for.
