Fifth Gear Auto Service Inc. is owned and operated by Andy Eberstadt who started this business in 1982 in a small 3 bay shop located in Northglenn.

After relocating his shop several times to grow with his increasing customer base, Andy decided to locate 5th GearAutomotive in his totally new from-the-ground-up auto service structure in early 2001. Andy's passion has always been to serve vehicle owners who value quality and integrity. His business philosophy is founded on the principles of honest pay for honest work.

A member of the Tom Martino Troubleshooter Network, 5th Gear Automotive exceeds customer expectations because our employees are dedicated to accurate, timely and complete service and repair.

AAA approved and recommended, and a NAPA Auto Care Center, our reputation for honesty and quality craftsmanship allows us to offer a full warranty on all parts and labor.

We use state-of-the-industry information combined with on-line computerized access to the latest information, manufacturer bulletins, and diagnostic expertise to supplement our own extensive training, experience and commitment to excellence. As modern vehicles become more complex and program driven, we acquire new training and tools to stay current on the knowledge required to diagnose and service any vehicle we accept for service.

ADVANCED DIAGNOSTIC TECHNOLOGY

Our ASE Certified Technicians use the full spectrum of modern electronic diagnostic equipment and have decades of combined experience, knowledge and expertise with just about every domestic and import vehicle made and on the road today.

Continuing education is a must at 5th Gear. Our investment in our employees translates directly to the superior service you and your vehicles get at our facility.  5th Gear Automotive employs a broad range of diagnostic software and has priority access to industry- wide information on every make and model vehicle we service. We own and use over 10 different computer diagnostic scanning tools that plug directly into your vehicle to scan and diagnose any present issues.

Subscription-based online sources are also available at the fingertips of all technicians at any of the 6 PC stations throughout the shop. Owner Andy Eberstadt states that aftermarket service information providers, such as All Data, Mitchell, Identifix, and networking on iATN, all aid in troubleshooting. Andy and his staff also seek out technical service bulletins (TSBs) associated with the specific trouble code that the diagnostic scanning tools or online info databases may return for a specific issue he is trying to resolve.

We are competitive to other repair shops and dealerships in our area. We perform all dealer-recommended scheduled maintenance. We are an authorized Bosch Service Center and AAA Approved  AutoRepair facility. 5th Gear is also an active participant in the CarQuest Technical Institute for continuing automotive education.
